Orthoceras is the fossilized remains of a prehistoric cephalopod dating back to the Ordovician period about 400 million years ago. They could range in size from anywhere between a few inches in length to over six feet. Orthoceras eventually evolved into our modern-day squid, Octopus and cuttlefish.
This medium-sized specimen has been eternalized in lead-free silver solder using the soft soldered method. We’ve left it in it’s bright silver state, sure to bring attention to its’ wearer!
We’ve placed it on a rhodium plated chain that is complete with one of our hand formed silver fill hook clasps.
Orthoceras fossils resonate with the root (base) chakra. They can aid in healing emotional troubles, and can help to reduce tiredness, exhaustion, and low energy. They have also been known to aid with digestive complaints.
